*1 question/wondering that the video inspired
2 things I learned: I learned that the goal for sound designer is to be unnoticed I learned that sound designers can get sounds from very mundane things like refrigerators and use them for a score 1 question: What program do they use to create and combine sounds?
I learned sound sound designers have a really important role in the creation of a production even if they go unnoticed. Also they work with musical directors to make the sound design as good as possible. I wonder how they manage to get interesting sound from strange objects? -Olivia
I learned that you need a lot of creativity to know what objects make the best sounds. I also learned that you can use objects easily found, you don't need an object that is very uncommon. One question I have is, is it possible to make the sounds without a set or a studio?
I learned that being a sound designer use objects like refrigerators to make their sounds and that the sound effects in the production affect the mood of the play. A question I had is how do you get noticed when you do small productions in sound design, how do you get to bigger productions?
I noticed how we don't realize that in our daily lives there are lots of sounds that occur in our surrounding but we don't pay attention to them, I learned how when building and making their are different sounds for each material. I wonder if sounds like those are recorded and used to build a video.
I learned that anything can be used to make a good sound track. I also realized that the sound in the background of a play or musical can really affect the mood of the setting. I wonder, how long does it typically take a sound designer to make the sound track for the whole musical or play?
-I learned that sound designing requires scrupulous work every time. -Sound designer's primary skills are listening and the ability to understand a play and help an audience connect to the text.
What would be the best way to approach for people who have never worked in sound designing.
1. That the sounds are also created by the everyday stuff and in many ways. 2. Being a sound designer needs to know how to do stuff also like drums. Q. In the video they broke the guitar what kind of way could that be used in actual movie or a play.
Things that I realized: 1- I learned that you can make different sounds of different objects (nothing ever is what it seems) 2- I realized that once you have the sounds, you have to edit them so they sound like you want them to sound like
My question: How can you coordinate the sounds with objects in movies?
Sound designers don't only use normal music but they also make the sounds with not common materials. I noticed that they are several ways of making sounds for movies, not only with instruments but by breaking stuff and a car moving.
I wonder how much all of the equipment costs, breaking a guitar most be wasting a lot of money.
I noticed that sound designer creates an atmosphere and texture of the sense by music, but at the same time, they are a "silence maker." Also, it was really interesting that he has more power to make a decision of the world to comedy, tragedy, or anything! I wonder that how he came up with ideas of several sound at the same time with different shows.
